Virginia “Jenny” Olbrich

Virginia “Jenny” Louise Olbrich, 73, of Nederland, Texas passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born August 11, 1948, in Port Arthur, to Lucille Willett Allen and William R. Allen, Sr.

Jenny graduated from Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966. She was a beautician and housewife, as well as, worked with her mother and cousin at Kay-Lou Collectables for a season. Jenny enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to the casino, and visiting with folks. Above all else, she cherished her family and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nanee.

She is survived by her daughters, Gina Dorsey and husband, Scott, of Nederland and Amber Seward, of Groves; grandchildren, Spenser Dorsey and wife, Alyssa; Tyler Dorsey; Jason Seward; and Blake Seward and girlfriend, Kayleigh Kingston; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ellie Dorsey; sister, Rhonda Dismukes and husband, Jim, of Fannett; brother, Bill Allen and wife, Lou, of Brownwood; stepbrother, Lonnie Wade Smith, of Fannett; brother-in-law, Raymond Olbrich and wife, Peaches, of Port Arthur; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Weeks, of Groves; Janet Drago and husband, Gerard, of Nederland; and Wanda Bernard, of Groves; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over forty-eight years, Marvin E. Olbrich; sister-in-law, Nancy Girouard and late husband, Dale; and brothers-in-law, David Bernard and Hugh Weeks.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Bonne Vie Skilled Nursing Facility and their staff for their compassionate care.

A gathering of Mrs. Olbrich’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
