Von Lawrence Coles
Von Lawrence Coles was born October 14, 1933 to Vern Lester Coles and Violet Lavern Coles in Casper, Wyoming. He passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Beaumont, TX at the age of 91 years with his wife Florence by his side.
He was a kind soft spoken man who never met a stranger. His teenage years were spent working on ranches in Wyoming, hunting, fishing and becoming a hard-working man at a young age. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and spent much time overseas. His working career spanned over 40 years with Mobil. After retiring, he and his wife, Flo, enjoyed traveling, fishing and planting a big garden. He loved visits from his grandkids, sharing family stories and showing them everything he had grown.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Florence Coles; sons, Kevin Coles and wife Daphne; Eric Coles and wife Jennifer; daughter in-law, Laurie Coles; step-daughter, Staci Winters; brother, Van Coles; sister Vicki Bordeaux: grandchildren, Natalia Clarke and husband Jon, Garrett Coles and wife Kelsey, Marissa Pandya and husband Hemang, Deidra Coles, Ciara Hill and husband Brenton, Christine Cox and husband Kase, Alex Coles, Caiman Coles, Zane Coles, Olivia Coles; 14 great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Bentley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Violet Coles; sister, Verna Green; son, Steve Coles; great granddaughter, Vivian Hill.
A gathering of Mr. Coles’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.

I’m sorry for the loss of your husband, Flo, and for the loss of your dad, Kevin and Eric. I have fond memories of my uncle. I’m sorry that I wasn’t there to share his goodbye but am keeping all of you in my prayers and you go through this difficult time.
My prayers are with you and the family. Praying the Lord will comfort and strengthen you during this time of sorrow. May He give you Peace in knowing you are loved.
