Wanda Butaud
Wanda Jane Butaud, 71, of Rosenberg, died Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was born September 24, 1950, in Port Neches, to Lillian Loyd Riley Brandin and Charles Elwin Brandin.
Wanda devoted over forty years into her career as a Registered Nurse before retiring in 2019. She enjoyed singing with her church family. She loved to go on cruises, exploring antique and resale shops, and admiring the changes of the leaves during the fall. Above all else, Wanda cherished her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.
Survivors include her husband, James Butaud of Rosenberg; children, Charles Sanders and wife, Nicole, of Humble; Reagan Butaud of Cypress; and Jennifer Reed and husband, Joe, of Port Neches; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Neil Brandin and wife, Rhonda, of Nederland; Cindy Stanley and husband, John, of Burleson; and Melissa Watson and husband, Paul, of Port Neches; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kaye Sanders Biggi; and brother, Douglas Brandin.
A gathering of Mrs. Butaud’s family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022, at Broussard’s, with her interment at 3:00 p.m., at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, CR 4264, Woodville, Texas.
Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Butaud may be made to Doctors Without Borders, Re: Donor Services, 40 Rector Street, 16th Floor, New York, New York 10006.

I am so sorry to hear about Wanda’s passing. I knew her to be such a kind, empathetic and generous-hearted person. She was always willing to help and go the extra mile for staff and physicians. I know they came to depend on her very much. Wanda was a wealth of knowledge and used it to help our patients and staff. My deepest condolences to Wanda’s family. What a loss to Wanda’s family, friends, and numerous people she served both in the community and as a nurse. I worked with Wanda for five years and always admired her compassionate and caring spirit. She was always there for her patients and the nursing staff, eager to help and educate. I will miss my dear friend.
Someone gone too soon. Her loving and caring ways have have touched so many lives. I’m thankful to have been blessed to have known her. My love and prayers for all she left behind.
