Wanda Butaud

September 24, 1950 - September 18, 2022

Wanda Jane Butaud, 71, of Rosenberg, died Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was born September 24, 1950, in Port Neches, to Lillian Loyd Riley Brandin and Charles Elwin Brandin.

Wanda devoted over forty years into her career as a Registered Nurse before retiring in 2019. She enjoyed singing with her church family. She loved to go on cruises, exploring antique and resale shops, and admiring the changes of the leaves during the fall. Above all else, Wanda cherished her grandchildren. They were the light of her life.

Survivors include her husband, James Butaud of Rosenberg; children, Charles Sanders and wife, Nicole, of Humble; Reagan Butaud of Cypress; and Jennifer Reed and husband, Joe, of Port Neches; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Neil Brandin and wife, Rhonda, of Nederland; Cindy Stanley and husband, John, of Burleson; and Melissa Watson and husband, Paul, of Port Neches; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kaye Sanders Biggi; and brother, Douglas Brandin.

A gathering of Mrs. Butaud’s family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022, at Broussard’s, with her interment at 3:00 p.m., at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, CR 4264, Woodville, Texas.
