Winona "Sissy" Kathleen Thames

Winona “Sissy” Kathleen Thames, 60, of Sour Lake, died Monday, June 8, 2020. She was born on January 7, 1960, to Betty Lou Roach Dennis and William Howard Dennis, in Port Arthur. Winona was employed by Sour Lake Motor Company for more than twenty-five years. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Winona enjoyed hunting and fishing in her spare time.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Thames, Jr.; son, Ricky Glaze; daughter, Kathleen Cantu, all of Sour Lake; daughter, Nicole Thames of Kountze; brothers, William Dennis of Louisiana; Vincent Dennis and his wife, Punkie, of Medical Lake, Washington; Doug Dennis and his wife, Sandy, of Sour Lake; Howard Clinton Dennis and his wife, Stephanie, of Louisiana; and Carl Dennis and his wife, Lisa, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Justice Lord and Easton Cantu; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mrs. Thames’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
