Ylora Mary Gerald
Ylora Mary Gerald, 95, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 17, 2025, at home. She was born September 23, 1929, in Port Arthur, to Beryl Sydney Coleman and Brandon Coleman.
Ylora had a love for doing things for people. Whether it was meals, cakes, or playing her violin. She devoted her time in doing for everyone else and taking care of her family.
She taught Sunday School and worked Vacation Bible School for years. She attended Eastern Star when she was able. She truly had a servant’s heart. You never met a person who didn’t say how sweet she was.
When her children were younger and at home, they always loved going to the lake and fishing.
She also had a passion for crocheting and sewing. She made baby blankets for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Gary L. Gerald, of Nederland; Lori Helms and husband, John, of Plano; Tim A. Gerald and wife, Sharon, of Groves; and Cydney J. Crooks and husband, Troy, of Fannett; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister, Melanie Wood.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, C.H. Gerald; brothers, James and Don Coleman; and daughter-in-law, Molly Gerald.
A gathering of Mrs. Gerald’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 1900 Magnolia Avenue, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

Ylora was the sweetest lady. She could make the best divinity in the world. Her and C. H. we’re so fun to be arround. She will be missed so much. We are praying for yall.
