John P. LeBlanc
John P. LeBlanc, 89, of Winnie, died Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born April 5, 1928, in Mermentau Cove, Louisiana, to Marcellite LeBlanc and Lessin LeBlanc, Sr. John had been a resident of the Winnie area for seventy-one years, and was retired as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Jane LeBlanc, of Winnie; son, Ray LeBlanc and his wife, Ginger, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Jason LeBlanc and his wife, Emily, of Eugene, Oregon; Jeff LeBlanc and his wife, Morgan, of Houston; and Danielle LeBlanc, of Houston; great-granddaughter, Calliope LeBlanc, of Eugene, Oregon; brother, Lessin “Pye” LeBlanc and his wife, Marie, of Estherwood, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Dolze LeBlanc and Maxie LeBlanc; and sister, Zola LeBlanc.
A gathering of Mr. LeBlanc’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
