Jim Broussard
President
Joined Broussard's In 1978
Jim graduated from Forest Park High School in 1977 and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service from Commonwealth Institute-Houston in 1979. Jim is a past president of Southeast Texas Funeral Director’s Association and past board member of Texas Funeral Director’s Association. He was a member of the founding DMORT team (Texas Disaster Response Group), past president of Boys Haven of America, past board member of the Rotary Club of Beaumont, past chairman of the Better Business Bureau of Southeast Texas, past president of Beaumont Main Street, and past president of the Tyrrell Historical Library Association.
He is a current member of the Independent Cattleman’s Association and the Rotary Club of Beaumont. He serves on the board of the West Jefferson County Municipal Water District and Beaumont Main Street. Jim has a passion for local and area history and is carrying on the ranching traditions started by his great-great-grandfather, Sevenne Broussard. He represents the fourth generation to operate Broussard’s and serves as President on the board of directors.
Jayme Broussard Toeppich

Jayme graduated from Hamshire-Fannett High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Development from Texas A&M University. In 2016, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from Rice University. Jayme currently serves on the board at Shorkey Center. Jayme represents the fifth generation to operate Broussard’s and serves as Secretary-Treasurer on the board of directors.

Blue graduated from Hamshire-Fannett High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Sam Houston State University. He went on to graduate from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service-Houston in 2006. Blue currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer on the state board of Texas Funeral Directors Association. He is past president of the Southeast Texas Funeral Directors Chapter. Blue also represents the fifth generation to operate Broussard’s and serves as Vice President on the board of directors.

James “JR” Rawlings, a Connecticut native , has had the privilege of being affiliated with the some of the industry’s premier firms, from the Baltimore/Washington, DC Metropolitan corridor, to Houston and San Antonio, before joining Broussard’s.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Physiology from Towson University in Maryland, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mortuary Science from Briarwood College in Connecticut. He is a member of the Academy of Funeral Service Practice and a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church in New Haven. In his spare time, he enjoys maintaining personal fitness, traveling, and reading.
James is honored to serve the families of Southeast Texas and to be apart of this community.
Meagan graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Lamar University in 2017. After working for a time in the healthcare field, Meagan followed her passion for caring for others into funeral service, graduating from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2020 with an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Meagan currently lives in Beaumont with her wife and their many pets. She works primarily at our Major Drive location as a funeral director apprentice. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, roadtripping, and watching history documentaries.
Steve was born in Nederland and is a longtime resident of Silsbee. He graduated from Silsbee High School. Steve worked at Brookshire Brothers for twenty-two years before attending Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in Houston. Steve has served in several capacities in the following organizations: Hardin County Rotary Club, Silsbee Kiwanis Club, Silsbee Chamber of Commerce, YMBL, and he was a charter member of The Kountze Lions Club. Steve has served as managing funeral director at our Silsbee location since it’s opening in October 2004.
Micah earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service from Commonwealth Institute-Houston in 2017 and has been dual licensed with the State of Texas as a funeral director and embalmer since 2018. Micah initially pursued becoming a funeral director and embalmer after seeing her late father Steven M. Dobbs, also a funeral director, answer his calling to serve families in need; she was inspired by the kind of joy and satisfaction that comes from helping families honor the memories and lives of their loved ones. As a long-term resident of the SETX area, Micah feels particularly drawn to serving this Golden Triangle area. Micah is a mother to one beautiful young lady and enjoys spending time with family and friends when not engaged at work.
Micah is a member of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, an active member of the Southeast Texas YPO where she has served as a steering committee member since 2021, a graduate of 2021-2022 Leadership Beaumont Program, a participant in the 2022-2023 Mentee Program with the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, and a current member of the steering committee for the Southeast Texas Cattle Barron’s Ball benefiting the American Cancer Society.
A native of Duncan, Oklahoma, Roger was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas where his education included elementary school through his completion of college at Midwestern University with a degree in Mass Communications and minors in Speech and Physical Education. While attending college, Roger began his working career in Television Broadcasting as a weekend news photographer and reporter. As the years went by, he was promoted to Production Manager, and later to Promotions Manager at KFDX-TV3, the NBC affiliate in Wichita Falls.
Roger left the broadcasting industry for a brief period to serve as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, Roger returned to north Texas where he was offered a position with station KAUZ-TV6 in Wichita Falls as Operations Manager. Eventually, Roger was transferred to Southeast Texas to serve as Station Manager of KBMT-TV12 from 1982 until 1986. While at channel 12, Roger met his wife of 30 years, Patricia. For the next few years, Roger and Patricia were entrepreneurs owning and operating their own small business in Lubbock. After selling their business, the Hensley family returned to Southeast Texas. Roger is a licensed funeral director, is an avid volunteer in the community and serves on the Executive Board of the Nederland Chamber of Commerce serving as Vice Chairman in 2017 and Chairman in 2018. He is also a member of the Mid-County Noon Optimist Club. Roger has been an integral part of Broussard’s for over twenty years.
Helen graduated from Evadale High School and went on to attend the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services, where she graduated with her Certificate in Funeral Directing. Helen joined Broussard’s in 2007 as an Administrative Assistant and currently serves at our Silsbee location. In her spare time, she enjoys attending Order of The Eastern Star meetings, playing with her dogs, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Helen resides in Buna.
Barry grew up in Nederland, TX and graduated from Nederland High in 1983. He earned a BS in communication at Lamar University before pursuing a career in funeral service at the Commonwealth Institute of Houston. He has been employed at Broussard‘s mortuary since 1996. Barry is also a licensed ham radio operator, enjoys vintage autos and is an animal advocate (he and his wife, Laure, have several “fur kids“). He is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge Greater Houston #6.
Nick is a graduate of Hamshire-Fannett High School. He then attended the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, where he earned his Associate of Applied Sciences degree, along with his Funeral Directing and Embalming license. Nick currently resides in Fannett.
Taylor joined Broussard’s in 2007 as a part-time Administrative Assistant at our Kountze location. He graduated from Silsbee ISD in 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at Lamar University in 2013. Following graduation, Taylor went full-time as an Administrative Assistant serving our families in our Nederland location until June of 2019, when he accepted the job title as Broussard’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator. In June of 2021, Taylor graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services with a Certificate in Funeral Directing. He is now a funeral director at our McFaddin location. In 2022, Taylor earned a Certificate of Achievement from the Dale Carnegie Course-Skills for Success.
Taylor faithfully attends the Lighthouse Church in Silsbee where he is involved in various ministries. He is also a baseball coach for Evadale Little League. In his spare time, Taylor enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Kacy Williams

Kacy graduated from Sabine Pass High School and went on to earn an Associate of Arts Degree from Lamar State College Port Arthur. She joined Broussard’s in 2014 in Nederland as an Administrative Assistant. Kacy graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service with honors in 2023. She now assists families at our McFaddin location as both an Administrative Assistant, and a licensed Funeral Director. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, Lainey and Lawson, shopping, and reading.
Burton grew up in Arkansas and then attended the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, as well as Lamar University. He earned his Funeral Directing and Embalming license as well as a degree in Business Administration. In his spare time, Burton enjoys bowling, and he currently resides in Port Neches.

Scott graduated from Nederland High School and went on to attend Lamar State College Port Arthur and the Commonwealth College of Funeral Service, where he successfully obtained his Funeral Directing and Embalming license. In his free time, Scott enjoys working with his bees and fishing. He is also a member of El Mina Shrine, Galveston, and rides in the mini patrol. Scott currently resides in Nederland.
Chelsey graduated from Hamshire-Fannett High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University. She joined Broussard’s in 2010, as a part-time receptionist. In 2011, she joined us as a full-time Administrative Assistant at our Major Drive location. In her spare time, Chelsey enjoys running and traveling.
Jael graduated from Lumberton High School in 2015. She joined Broussard’s in October of 2019 as a full-time receptionist at our Major Drive location. She is currently an administrative assistant at our McFaddin location. In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining friends and family, or curling up with a good book.
Ashlyn graduated from Huntington High School and then went on to attend Angelina College and Lamar State College Orange. She is currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Business Management. Ashlyn joined Broussard’s in 2023 as an Administrative Assistant at our Silsbee location. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and reading. Ashlyn resides in Kountze.
Amanda graduated from East Chambers High School and went on to attend Lamar State College Port Arthur. In her time away from the office, Amanda enjoys reading, listening to music, and writing. She resides in Beaumont.
Emma graduated from East Chambers High School. She joined Broussard’s in 2023 and serves our Winnie and Nederland locations as an Administrative Assistant. In her spare time, Emma enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She resides in Winnie.
Marli graduated from East Chambers ISD in 2017. She joined Broussard’s in 2021 and graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2023 with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Marli is primarily stationed at our Nederland location, and also covers our Winnie location where she first began working for us.
Marli currently resides in Winnie with her son, Easton, her husband, Blake, and her puppy dog, Cash. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
Tammy graduated from Hornbeck High School in Hornbeck, Louisiana and went on to attend McNeese State University. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys spending time with her grandbabies, and she also enjoys traveling, embroidering, crocheting, loom knitting, and various DIY projects. Tammy resides in Lumberton.

Krsti, originally from Wichita, Kansas, graduated two years early from Belford High School in 2006. She joined Broussard’s in 2016 as the primary custodian of our Major Drive location, before accepting the position as our Major Drive receptionist in October of 2021. Krsti graduated with an Associate’s Degree of Art in General Studies. She is currently enrolled at Lamar Institute of Technology for an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Health Information Technology.

Monica was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and raised in Beaumont. She was a 1971 graduate of Forest Park High School. Following high school, she attended Lamar University where she earned her LVN degree. She worked many years in the medical field before joining Broussard’s part time in 2005. In February 2006, she became full time as administrative assistant at our Kountze location. In February 2016, she transferred to the Centre and became Claims Coordinator.
Monica enjoys being with her family, but especially her three grandchildren who are her greatest joy, Hunter, Taryn, and Jeffrey.
Courtney graduated from Lumberton High School in 2005 then earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2009 from The University of Texas at Tyler. She joined Broussard’s Human Resources Department in June of 2015. She currently resides in Lumberton, TX with her husband, 2 sons, and schnauzer-pup. In her spare time, Courtney loves spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and interior design.
Kristin graduated from Lumberton High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Communication as well as a Master’s degree in Applied Digital Learning, both from Lamar University. She enjoys serving in her church in the kids ministry, traveling, and spending time with her family. Kristin is a wife, parent to boy-and-girl twins, and a fur-parent to a mini-goldendoodle named Teddy.

In 2017, She earned an MBA from Sam Houston State University. Kacie recently moved back to her hometown of Sour Lake, where she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and fur-children.

Melanie grew up in the Hamshire-Fannett area. She attended Lamar University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design in 2008. Her skills as a graphic designer have allowed her to provide creative solutions for a variety of businesses and organizations in the Golden Triangle and beyond. Melanie is also a skilled calligrapher and hand lettering artist. In her spare time, she enjoys music, the arts, writing, and spending time with loved ones.

Cameron graduated from East Chambers High School and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Lamar University in 2019. With over nine years of experience and background in publication and stationery design, she has worked on many diverse projects for local organizations and clientele.
Cameron currently resides in Beaumont with her husband and their two cats, Kanji and Itachi. When she’s not designing, you can find her sending snail mail, practicing needlepoint, and taking road trips with her husband.

Cameron graduated from Nederland High School and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Lamar University in 2017. Aside from graphic design they also have a passion for illustration, photography, and a variety of other artistic endeavors. They are inspired by vintage items, found objects, nature, art, literature, film, and things local to Southeast Texas. They hope to create work that resonates with people in this area and just have fun with their process. Cameron enjoys spending free time with their cat colony, listening to music, and going to thrift stores.

His most recent experience was as a caregiver since 2019 but previously received several years of experience in all aspects of funeral service with Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. John is excited to utilize his funeral service experience with Broussard’s in his role as Mortuary Transporter.

From there, he then attended the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, and he earned an Associate of Applied Science degree. In his spare time, Bryant enjoys fishing and traveling. He currently resides in Beaumont.

Bennie attended Sam Houston State University and graduated from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Training Academy in Huntsville. He joined Broussard’s as an associate in November of 2018 and accepted the position as a Transporter in February of 2019. Bennie enjoys spending time outdoors with his fiancée, Laurie, his family, and his newly acquired granddaughter, Kendall.

Kevin is an Oklahoma native, but Texas has been home for the past 30 years. Kevin brings 15+ years of Operations Management to the Broussard’s team. He has earned national recognition for his facilities management with one of the nation’s largest privately held companies, while managing facilities spanning multiple states throughout the US. Kevin joined the Broussard’s Facilities team in July of 2022. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family. His son Cameron recently graduated from Texas Tech and resides in Houston. His daughter Emily completed school in Pearland and lives in Missouri. His youngest, Kennedy, attends school at Hardin Jefferson. Kevin’s wife, Deanna, has been in the financial services in Southeast Texas for over 10 years. Kevin also enjoys hunting, fishing, live concerts and watching sports.

Jerry Wayne graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981. He has been a proud employee of Broussard’s for over twenty years and enjoys his job as Fleet Manager. Jerry Wayne loves to share the story of when he was hired. “When Mr. Jim Broussard hired me, I remember him asking me, ‘Are you going to do a good job?’ Well you know I said, ‘yes sir.’ I have been here ever since.”

In his spare time, Mandre is also the owner/operator of Sips ‘N Tips Bartending and Event Staffing Services, LLC and also invests his time on the board and as the Vice President of Black Business Professionals of SETX. Mandre is a proud husband, father, and grandfather who believes in the commitment of excellence, giving back to the community, and aways striving to put your best foot forward in anything you do.
