Perlie Mae Comeaux, 86, of Winnie, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, at her home. She was born September 23, 1938, in Beaumont, to Clarence Elmer Abshere and Ruby Esther Abshere. Perlie was a resident of Winnie for 63 years. She enjoyed being a mother and housewife until her kids were out of school. After that, she found fulfillment working at Sammy’s Western Store and Style Shop, where she enjoyed connecting with people and visiting with the community. After retirement, Perlie and her husband, Harold, enjoyed traveling together. They explored the United States from coast to coast and even made memorable trips across Europe, creating lasting adventures along the way. One of their favorite pastimes was gambling, and they often took trips to casinos, frequently joined by Perlie’s best friend, Rose Dartez. He was born on April 28, 1945, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the first of seven children, born to J Wayne Murrell and Lucy F. Murrell. Mr. Murrell was a devoted farmer, working with rice and soybeans for fifty plus years. He worked tirelessly with the St. Louis Catholic Church booth and the animal show barn at the Texas Rice Festival. It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Marion Hendrickson, who departed peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in his home in Mesquite, Texas. He was born on July 29, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the youngest of three children, born to Stephen and Lucille Hendrickson. Mr. Hendrickson devoted nearly 75 years of his life as a minster of the gospel in the Church of Christ. In addition to ministry, Mr. Hendrickson was a Bible professor at Ohio Valley College in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Dean of the Williamstown Bible College in Williamstown, West Virginia where he provided training for those who aspired to become ministers, and also did mission work in Wimbledon, England supporting the growth of the Church in that community. Tracey Paul Thomassee slipped away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by love with his wife and sisters. Cancer had darkened his door for a second time at 54, and this time, there was no beating it back. Tracey was born and raised in the Anahuac area, graduating from Anahuac High School in 1989. He was a force to be reckoned with on the field and in the halls. As one friend noted, he possessed a mix of cockiness and a belief in himself that made people stop and take notice. Tim was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Winnie, Texas, and a lifelong resident of the Winnie-Stowell community. Upon graduating high school in 1970, Tim attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy in 1973. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Terry Lynn Norman, Ricky Dean Norman, and Roger Dale Norman; and sister, Dana Lee Fancher. John Milton Donaho, 86, of Winnie, died December 6, 2024. He was born on September 2, 1938, in Liberty, to Cecil and Alma Donaho. Survivors include his daughter, Stacey Smith of Orange; son, Sean Donaho and his wife, Robyn, of China Spring; granddaughter, Sydney Smith of Orange; grandsons, Cameron Smith, of San Marcos, Blake and Ross Donaho, of China Spring; sister-in-law, Patti Fitzgerald and husband, Steve of Winnie; brother-in-law, John Gaulding and wife, Vickey of Winnie; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean Donaho; brother, Cecil Donaho; and parents. A gathering of Mr. Donaho’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
