Mrs. Adams was a United States Army veteran (Medical Specialist). She grew up on a dairy farm and left for the Army the day after graduating from Bonduel High School. She met her husband while serving in the military, yet after marriage decided to forego a professional career in the medical industry to devote her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her Catholic faith. She received roses and was serenaded by her husband throughout her entire nearly sixty-year marriage. She was more than happy to be the central figure and role model in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Billie Mae Foster, 96, of Winnie, died Friday, September 17, 2021, at Riceland Hospital, Winnie. She was born July 31, 2021, in Silsbee, to Verna Mae Ennis Cravy and Bill Cravy. Billie Mae Foster spent her life as a young girl in Silsbee.  From a young age, she lived in a variety of places.  Along the way, she made life-long friends that she stayed in touch with her whole life. Later, she would find the love of her life, her World War II pilot, Elmer Foster.  These two doted and flirted with each other for over 55 years. Billie loved doing craftwork, sewing, knitting and tending to her flowers. Pierre Legé was born on July 27, 1940, in Wright, LA, to Leonce Legé, Sr, and Polita Bertrand Legé, and entered into eternal rest on September 11, 2021, at the age of 81.  Pierre started school in Gueydan, LA.  In the ninth grade the family moved to Winnie, TX, and Pierre attended school at East Chambers, where he graduated in 1959. He married Celanie Richard the following year.  This marriage was blessed with two sons, Tony and Ken Legé.  Their beloved son, Tony Legé, passed away at the age of 25 in 1987. Pierre and Celanie were married nearly 45 years when she passed away in 2005. Dorothy Faye “Dotsie” Hughes Hamilton, 77, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 15, 2021.  She was born to William E. “Bill” Hughes & Alice Wilborn Hughes on November 30, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas. Dotsie graduated from Anahuac High School in 1962 and pursued an education in interior design. She owned many businesses throughout her lifetime including a dress shop, retail Christmas store, an import business & potpourri company, bed & breakfast and Skip’s Outrageous Bar & Grill.  She also enjoyed buying & then selling her jewelry. Lorene retired from Hamshire-Fannett Independent School District after decades of service in many capacities. She worked in a doctor’s office as a Medical Assistant for many years and also cooked for the Pipkin Ranch for fifteen years.
