Veona Milam Jarrell

Veona Milam Jarrell, 94, of Vidor, died Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home, Vidor. She was born on May 17, 1925, to Vera Noble Milam and Walter Joseph Milam, in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Survivors include her children, Carlyn Layne Jarrell, Lynda Jayne Warren, Shanna Alayne Nelams and her husband, David, and Benson Duane Jarrell and his wife, Monica; grandchildren, Britni Jayne Warren, Lindsey Alayne Nelams, Judith Alayne Nelams and her husband, Mitchell Davis, Nathan Jarrell and his wife, Lindey, Kayla Robinson and her husband, Joshua, Marcus Jarrell and his wife, Miranda, Jacob Jarrell, Brandon Jarrell, and Lia Jarrell; great-grandchildren, Lucas Jarrell, Natalie Jarrell, Dakota Robinson, Brooklynn Robinson, and Penelope Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of thirty-nine years, Ben Murray Jarrell; and brothers, Vernon Milam, Noble Milam, and Leslie Milam.

A gathering of Mrs. Jarrell’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7785 Weaver, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.
