Audrey M. Busceme

September 19, 1931 - March 6, 2020

Audrey M. Busceme, 88, of Beaumont, died Friday, March 6, 2020, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on September 19, 1931, in Beaumont, to Mattie May Teat and James F.” Tank” Saxon.

Audrey is survived by her children, James “Bubba” Busceme and his wife, Kim, of Nederland; LeeAnne Walker, of Sour Lake; and Richard Busceme and his wife, Lisa, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandchildren, James VanMeter and his wife, Sandra, of Florida; Misty Falcon and her husband, Cody, of Katy; Casey Bird and her husband, Tal, of Corpus Christi; Katy Puckett and her husband, Billy, of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Erin Laley and her husband, Andrew, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Busceme, Sr.; son, Michael Busceme; son-in-law, Ernie Walker; five sisters; and one brother.

A gathering of Mrs. Busceme’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:0 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

It was always a pleasure for James and Audrey. I met them when I was with KAYC, and when Bubba was going to the Olympics. James was Bubba's. manager in the ring. Later, James and Audrey were both retired I saw them. "out and around" in Beaumont. They always stopped to talk for a few minutes. To her family, please accept my sincere condolences.. They were both stellar Beaumonters.
