Dane Joseph Broussard
Dane Joseph Broussard, 57, of Fannett, died Monday, January 4, 2021. He was born on August 18, 1963 to Emily LeBlanc Broussard and James Nicholas Broussard in Port Arthur, Texas.
Dane lived in Lufkin for approximately twenty-five years doing what he loved. He owned and operated Wheat’s Alternator/Starter Service then later Dane’s Alternator/Starter Service. He was a current employee by FABCON Industrial in which he had the pleasure of working with his brother, mother, and brother-in-law as Safety Manager and Senior Sales Consultant. He returned to Fannett in 2012 to start a new venture in his life. He always longed to be close to his parents and siblings. Southeast Texas served him well for all of his hobbies and activities. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. Fishing was closest to his heart. If he was going fishing, there was no real sleeping or resting the night before.
He was all about family and family always came first. If anyone needed anything, he would find a way to make it come to fruition. He absolutely loved all his cronies. He had life-long friendships in Lufkin and Southeast Texas that he was still in contact with on a regular basis.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Broussard, of Fannett; parents, James and Emily Broussard, of Fannett; daughters, Kaitlyn Lebel and her husband, Chris, of Lufkin and Hannah Baker, of Winnie; stepson, Clint Choate, of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Carson Lebel, Randy Shane Lebel, and Jesse Baker; twin brother, Dean James Broussard and his wife, Becky, of Fannett; twin sisters, Jada Ann Cooper and her husband, Randy, of Fannett; Jean Ann Rippeon and her husband, Jimmy, of Beaumont; nephews, Ryan Rippeon and Reese Rippeon; and niece, Emily Rippeon.
A gathering of Mr. Broussard’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2021 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dane Broussard Memorial Fund at any Neches Federal Credit Union branch. Checks deposited may be made payable to Tonya Broussard. This fund will be given to his three grandchildren for their future ventures in their own paths. This is how Pawpaw would have wanted it to be.
