Mateo Mirakel Rocha, infant son of Nayeli Sanchez and Severo Rocha Valdez, died January 18, 2021.
Mateo, your kicks told me you would be a great soccer player and love to dance like your mommy and daddy. All the cravings I had showed me how much you would have loved to eat and try new things. Your punches were love taps that will never go away, especially the very last ones that you finally let daddy feel. You danced to the rhythm of my heart and I know you are dancing in heaven now with your brother. You gave your life for me to continue mine which showed me the true value of giving. From your tiny little hands to the smallest of your toes, I’ll always remember that first and last kiss I gave you on your cute button nose. Your spirit is now free to run with wild horses until the day we meet again. I will hold on tight with all my force. You better than anyone know how much daddy loves you and misses you. You just keep watching over us with your brother till we all meet again. We love you.
Mateo survived by his parents; siblings, Gustavo Rocha; Angelica Rocha; Rossy Rocha; Josue Rocha; Valeria Gonzalez; Emmanuel Sanchez; and Josefina Rocha; and grandparents, Josefina Valdez and Francisco Rocha and Federica Sanchez and Jacobo Sanchez.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Mateo Severo Rocha.
A memorial service for Mateo will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
