Patsy Lou Leatherwood

Patsy Lou Leatherwood, 78, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at her home after a brief illness.  She was born on December 25, 1942, in Magnolia Springs, to Annie Mae Grissom Kelley and Elvin Kelley.

Mrs. Leatherwood was retired from Lumberton Independent School District after twenty-five years of service.  She was known for her homemade rolls and cinnamon rolls.  She enjoyed flowers and working in her yard.  Mrs. Leatherwood will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Grammy.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Brown and his wife, Sabrina, of Silsbee; daughters, Kelli Costanzo and her husband, Brandon, of Lumberton; Tina Worsham and her husband, Raylon and Chere Johnson, all of Buna; and Misti Kibodeaux of Orange; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, JoAnn Barlow of Kirbyville and Sheila Diane Watts of Fredericksburg; brothers, J.W. Kelley and his wife, Sissie, of Warren and Elton Kelley and his wife, Jan, of Silsbee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband of thirty years and father of her children, H.F. Brown; second husband, John Leatherwood; and son, Thomas Edward Brown.

A gathering of Mrs. Leatherwood’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Davis Cemetery, Beulah Springs.
