Walter John Authement, Jr.

Walter John Authement, Jr., 59, of Sour Lake, died Friday, June 2, 2017. He was born on December 1, 1957, in Port Arthur, to Linda Lou Sparks and Walter John Authement, Sr., and had been a longtime resident of Sour Lake. Walter was a horse trainer.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Pamela Ruth Authement; children, Ruth Dorsey, Walter John Authement III, Johnathan Authement, and Esther Authement, all of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Davion Dorsey, Naomi Dorsey, Summer Stephens, and Emma Stephens; mother, Linda Lou Authement; brothers, Jeff Authement, Kenneth Authement, and Troy Authement; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Walter is preceded in death by his father, Walter Authement, Sr.

A private family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
