Raymond Hutto

March 18, 1947 - April 17, 2021

Raymond Hutto, 74, of Spurger, died Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont. He was born on March 18, 1947, in Fred, to Etta Ray Eason Hutto and George Washington Hutto. Raymond was a United States Army veteran, and he retired as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, and telling jokes. Most of all Raymond enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was a longtime member of Local 450 operating engineers.

Raymond is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Gayle Hutto; sons, Scotty Hutto and Michael Hutto and his wife, Tammy; and daughter, Dakota Hutto, all of Spurger; grandchildren, Rachel Fowler and her husband, Thomas; Heaven Hutto, Joanus Hutto and his wife, Hannah; Chase Moore; Draven Hutto and his wife, Mady; Skeye Laurent and her husband Derek; and Hudson Hutto; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Mileigh, Paxton, Micah, Emersyn, Jaxon, and Finn; brothers, Steve Hutto, of Silsbee; Rex Hutto and his wife, Kim, of Fred; and Martin Hutto and his wife, Cindy, of Silsbee; aunt, Emma Jane Moss, of Silsbee; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nellie Hutto; and brothers, Britton, Ronnie, Glen and Don Hutto.

A gathering of Mr. Hutto’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Broussard’s, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Turner Branch Cemetery, Spurger.

Paw, I will miss you more than words can say. You have been by my side since the day I was born. I’ll never ride a tractor or catch a perch and not think of you. You loved and raised me like your own . I am so lucky that I got you for 34 years, and that my kids loved and were loved by you too.
