Bernice Rose Williams

Bernice Rose Williams, 85, of Nederland, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 28, 2021. She was born on August 17, 1936, to Elsie Lawrence Meehan and Bernard Meehan.

Survivors include her children, Phillip Williams and wife, Michelle, of Katy; Mary Speight and husband, Kevin; R.D. Williams and wife, Jessica; and Michele Goode and husband, Glenn, all of Nederland; twenty-three grandchildren, Phillip; Chris; Keisha; Kristen; Adam; Jared; Joshua; Samuel; Jerimiah; Brandice; April; Rachelle; Ryan; Philip; Brian; Brandon; Cora; Carley; Crimson; Corbin; Trevor; Hannah; and Tyler; sister, Michele Shine and husband, Victor, of Greenville, Pennsylvania; brother, Bob Meehan of Elm Grove, Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Lynda Courtney; and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern Williams; children, Vincent Dilly and Vern Williams; and brother, Jeff Meehan.

A Rosary for Mrs. Williams’ will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of her family and friends following until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
