John Edward LEatherwood

John Edward Leatherwood, 69, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017.  He was born on November 6, 1947, in Loeb, to Irene and James Leatherwood.  John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.  He later worked for Lumberton Independent School District.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Leatherwood; children, Tina Worsham and her husband, Raylen; and Chere Johnson, all of Buna; Misti Kibodeaux of Beaumont; Kenneth Brown and his wife, Sabrina, of Silsbee; and Kelli Costanzo and her husband, Brandon, of Lumberton; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Celia Smith and her husband, Kenneth, of Lumberton; Madge Nichols and her husband, Bud, of Beaumont; Lynette Fregia and her husband, Wesley, of Winnie; and Carol Glanert of Wisconsin.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roy Leatherwood, Bill Leatherwood, George Leatherwood, and James Leatherwood.

A gathering of Mr. Leatherwood’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2017, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Leatherwood Cemetery, Lumberton.
