Joyce Jean Berry

Joyce Jean Berry, 79, of Beaumont, died Friday, October 8, 2021. She was born on January 20, 1942, to Maxine Legg Johnson and Theodore Johnson, in Columbus, Ohio.

Joyce was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, sister, and Granny, just an all-around amazing woman. She always put everyone before herself, helping out anyone she could. Joyce “Mom” which if you were blessed to know her you probably knew she was the most sweetest, caring, selfless person you ever met, she loved like no other. She will be truly missed by so many.

Survivors include her children, Terry Berry and his wife, Brenda; Jeffery Berry; Kim Kellogg and her husband, John; and Charles Berry and his girlfriend, Christina Pollard; siblings, Jim Johnson and his wife, Carolyn and Wanda Wenzeil; son-in-law, Gerald Meredith; grandchildren, Amy Kolos; Angela Lambert and her husband, Daniel; Tracy Berry; Christina Berry; Jeffery Berry; Jeremy Marcantel and his wife, Tonya; Jonathan Theal and his wife, Kristal; Ashley Shriner and her husband, Nathan; Allen Theal and his wife, Courtney; Ashley Janise and her husband, Travis; and Elleigh Berry; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maxine and Theodore Johnson; husband, Richard Lester Berry; son, Alan Berry; daughter, Debora Meredith; grandson, Allen Hensley; sister, Betty Messer; brother, Ted Johnson; brother-in-law, Tom Wenzeil; great-grandsons, Logan Shriner and Bryston Theal; and great-granddaughter, Jaylee Theal.

A gathering of Mrs. Berry’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at Spence-Miller Funeral Home, Grove City, Ohio, on Monday, October 18, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Immediately following, her graveside service will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
