Mary Alice Duncan

Mary Alice Duncan, 79, of Kountze, died Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  She was born on September 23, 1942, in Honey Island, to Lorena Fregia Roth and Richard Roth.

Mary retired from Kountze Independent School District after many years of service in the cafeteria.  She enjoyed sewing and making jelly and will be remembered as a loving mother and Granny.

Survivors include her sons, Roy Duncan had his wife, JoAnn, and John Paul Duncan, all of Honey Island; grandchildren, Devin McNeely and her husband, Dustin; Kayla Duncan; and Emily Jean Duncan; and great-grandchildren, Harper, Hannah, and Hailey McNeely.  She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Simon Charles Duncan; brother, Simon; and sisters, Opal, Betty Jo, Rachel, and Pauline.

Mrs. Duncan’s graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.
