Roy Lee Gilcrease, Jr.

Roy Lee Gilcrease, Jr., 77, of China, died Thursday, March 24, 2022. He was born on May 25, 1944, to Letha Elizabeth Laird Gilcrease and Roy Lee Gilcrease, Sr., in Dallas.

Survivors include his children, Charlotte “Naynay” Duff and her husband, Billy, of China; Mary “Sweet Pea” Jackson and her husband, Travis, of Coshocton, Ohio; and Brighteyes Tanton and her husband, O’Neal, of Daisetta; sisters, Marie Meeks of Hardin and Emma Jean Salvaggio of Brenham; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and his faithful companion, his dog, Patches.

He is preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Mary “Curly” Moore; and sisters, Joenita Fregia, Sandra Sue Coggins, Dorothy Mae West, Elaine Fregia, Joyce Fregia, and Lavee Gilcrease.

His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
