I remember Roy Dean from Bingman Elementary, back in the old days. I remember him, like everyone does, happy, with a smile on his face. I am sure he is like that now with his heavenly Father. RIP Roy Dean.

    Javier Castillo says:

So sad to hear about Mr. Roy, a great person to work with, I got a chance to work with him at the Courthouse. One time I had asked him if I could come in late due to it being Ash Wednesday, he knew I was Catholic and after that our friendship sparked even more. He would tell me about the good works he would do at our lady of Assumption. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Rest in peace Brother in Christ. ????????

    John Johnson says:

I knew Roy Dean for the 10 years I worked at the courthouse; he was always such a beacon of light and kindness and happiness. I was so shocked and saddened to learn of his death. In reading his obituary, I was not surprised to learn he was a man of faith. We never talked about faith, but we didn’t have to. It shone through in his manner and in the way he carried himself.

As you might imagine, courthouses are not happy places. People are there for typically unpleasant events in their life. That rubs off on the employees. I don’t know if Roy Dean had an impact on courthouse visitors, but I know he had an impact on courthouse employees. He always had a smile on his face, and it was infectious.

He was a gift to everyone at the courthouse, and I’m sure he was gift to his family. My deepest condolences to you all. He was a lovely person and I am so sorry for your loss.

Roy Dean Willman, never knew a stranger. He always had a smile on his face, a warm welcoming, and a lending hand for whatever you might need. The stories that can be told, all with laughter, and respect for a great man. You left us too early. You will be missed. Love you Man.
