Jane Elizabeth Kaulfus

March 7, 1960 - March 27, 2023

Jane Streadl Kaulfus passed away in her home unexpectedly on March 27, 2023, leaving behind so many people whose lives she touched.

Born on March 7, 1960, in Port Arthur, Texas, Jane lived in Nederland, Texas for the majority of her life. It was there that she met and married Mark Kaulfus in 1979. She had two children, Jeremy and Meagan who were always first in her life. She was a source of strength and guidance for them until her last day on this earth. Both of them started families of their own and her love and support extended to her growing family.

As a lifelong Bulldog, you could often find Jane cheering on her favorite hometown football team. If she wasn’t cheering for the high school, she was watching the Dallas Cowboys or, more recently, the Kansas City Chiefs win or lose, rain or shine. Jane loved watching sports and as a recent Houstonian, loved her Astros.

She is survived by husband, Mark Kaulfus; son Jeremy Kaulfus and his wife Kristy, and their children Dexter and Aria; daughter Meagan (Kaulfus) Bolin and her husband Matt Bolin; brother David Lee Streadl and his wife LaRue, and their sons Dustin, Justin and Brandon; brother Mike Streadl and his wife Gayle, and their children Charley and Alisha; as well as numerous extended family and lifelong friends.

She is predeceased by her parents David C Streadl and Sandra Lee Streadl.

A gathering of Mrs. Kaulfus’ family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s honor to an organization that was always close to her heart: Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.

    Jeremy and Megan,
Your Mom was such a special lady. We met her when she came to us at the Temple in Beaumont and she was simply the best! Smart, funny and fun! We came to love her as a friend.
May she rest in peace and may memories bring you comfort.

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to
Jane’s family. Jane and I played MahJongg together with the Lake Houston Ladies Club. She was such a sweet person and we all loved getting together to play our favorite game. She will definitely be missed at our gatherings and I am sure she will be missed by many of her students and faculty. I will be keeping your family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.????????
