Michael James Brown

Michael J. Brown, 53, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born on September 12, 1969, in Beaumont, to Benita Mazzu Brown and Ralph Brown, Sr.

Michael loved fishing, Texas A&M football, and the challenges of the casino. He was the grandson of Angie “Momo” Mazzu, and the great-grandson of Frank and Benita Baranco.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Reagan Brown; aunts, Marie Bando of Beaumont, and Juanita St. Clair of Plano; cousins: Bando, St. Clair, Mazzu, and Deines; three nephews; one niece; and two sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benita Mazzu Brown and Ralph Brown, Sr.; brother, Ralph Brown, Jr.; and uncles, Frank and Jake Mazzu.

Cremation arrangements for Mr. Brown were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Hernandez, Frank Messina, Bub Messina, Jude Messina, Rodney Robichau, and Brooks Brown.
