Dorris Emily Luther
Dorris Emily Luther, 99, of Nederland, died Monday, August 14, 2023. She was born September 18, 1923, in San Antonio, to Beaulah Mae Crisman and John Harlin Crisman
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Luther; children, Eileen Cribbs and Elaine Morris and husband, Mark; stepchildren, Shirley Luther and Judy Bridgwater; grandchildren, Tommy Cribbs; Ryan Bridgwater; Renee Whelply; seven great-granchildren; and sister, Florence Cooley.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Allen Whelply; and sisters, Irma Farris and JoAnn Young.
A gathering of Mrs. Luther’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with her graveside service at 11:00 a.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Luther’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.

I have been so blessed to know my Aunt Dot! She had a heart of gold and a smile that was contagious!
What a warm and loving lady she was. My whole family thought the world of her. Our sincere condolences.
