Linda Ann Tuohy

Linda Ann Tuohy, 77, of Nederland, died Saturday, October 7, 2023. She was born February 14, 1946, in New Iberia, Louisiana, to Vera Marie Chagois Pellerin and Charlie Joseph Pellerin.

Linda was a fun, spunky, and a loving individual. She cared so much for her family. She had most of the holiday celebrations at her home where she prepared and served her recipes that she had been using for years. She loved spending the holidays with her family, including her grandchildren. She always made sure everyone enjoyed their meal and received a gift before leaving her home. Even for those who could not attend, she made sure that they had a plate of food to eat.

She loved playing bingo, and had nearly every bingo dauber color, but if her grandchildren wanted another color, she would never say no. Bingo, QVC shopping channel, The Young and the Restless, and Solitaire were some of her favorite pastimes.

If you spent some weekends with her, you knew that she loved giving old bread to the birds. She loved watching her grandchildren throw that bread and turn around to smile or laugh after the bird would pick it up to eat it. After a long day of shopping, she loved ending her night with watching a movie. She loved asking what new movie was being brought that weekend. She also loved the Chinese Buffett, especially when they had good crawfish and crabs that day.

We remember her for all of the good that she did during her time on Earth. She will always be so loved. We know that you’re dancing in Heaven with John. Reunited at last. Watch over us until we reunite with you. We love you so much.

Survivors include her companion, Edwin LeBlanc; children, Kevin Laird and Sherry Hernandez and husband, Julian; grandchildren, Jennifer Hernandez, Clay Laird, Shelby Laird, and Ashley Shriner; and brother, Charlie Pellerin and wife, Sally.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Tuohy; parents; and two siblings.

A gathering of Mrs. Tuohy’s family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
