Nelda Sue Gray

Nelda Sue Gray, 79, of Village Mills, died Monday, October 23, 2023. She was born on January 21, 1944, to Lois Elvie Jackson Overstreet and Walter Willis Overstreet, in Village Mills.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Gray, Jr.; son, Wayne Ard and his wife, Toushia, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Heath Ard and his wife, Carli, and Buddy Ard and his wife, Connie, all of Silsbee; Jacob Ard and his wife, Latonya, of Buna; Zack Ard of Silsbee; Jennifer Jones and her husband, Chris, of Village Mills; Rickey Ambrose and his wife, Sherrie, of Warren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Murray and her husband, Richard of Warren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert “Bob” Ard; grandson, Robert “Scooter” Ard; and great-grandchild, Addison Ard.

A gathering of Mrs. Gray’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2023, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
