Nancy Ruth Moore

June 4, 1959 - October 21, 2023

Nancy Ruth Moore, 64, of Burnet, died Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born on June 4, 1959, in Henderson, to Jean Dossey and Paul Colley.

Retiring from Burnet Consolidated Independent School District, Nancy was a teacher and head swim coach at various schools in Texas. Nancy was a very active swimmer in her youth and almost made the Olympic team in the late 1970s. She enjoyed being outside and working in the yard. She loved fishing, spoiling her grandkids, and having family time. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband and friends on the motorcycle. Nancy was a very social person and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Ma-maw.

Survivors include her husband of over thirty-three years, James Moore; daughters, Krystal Martinez and her husband, Albert, of Burnet; and Terrah DePaoli and her husband, Tony, of Marble Falls; son, Tanner Moore and his wife, Christena, of Rogers; grandchildren, Aubrey, Hadleigh, Waylon, John Wylie, and Hailee; mother, Jean Colley; sisters, Susan Tatum and her husband, Mark, of Whitehouse; and Janice Cole and her husband, Steve, of Aledo; brothers, Paul Colley, Jr., and his wife, Lisa, of Bee Cave; and Wesley Colley and his wife, Leandrea, of Henderson; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving relative and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Paul Colley.

Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Moore were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
