Guy William Venable

November 10, 1960 - October 25, 2023

Guy William Venable, 62, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  He was born on November 10, 1960, in Beaumont, to Phyllis Bosworth Venable and Ralph Venable.

Guy worked for Scott Rand at Fast Break for twenty-one years.  He loved the Astros, the Texans, and seeing horses run.  He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his brother, Eddie Venable and his wife, Huiwen, of Waxhaw, North Carolina; sister, Sandra Womack and her husband, Dave Williams, of Beaumont; sister-in-law, Jane Venable of Fredericksburg, Virginia and her daughters, Christy and Jamie; great-nephews, Cordell and Caleb; great-niece, AJ; and best friend of over thirty-five years, Katherine Campbell. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Venable; and best friend, Dave Henry.

Guy’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.  Guy’s Celebration of Life will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Fire Museum of Texas, 400 Walnut Street, Beaumont.  Please wear your Astro or Texan gear in memory of Guy.  Also please bring one lottery ticket to be put into a drawing where someone will take home all the tickets and maybe win big in Guy’s memory.

Guy didn’t have life insurance, in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to pay for Guy’s service.  Please send your donation paid directly to Broussards Mortuary, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, Texas 77656.  In the memo line please put Guy Venable or you may call 409-386-1000, to pay with credit card.
