Satira “Terry” Beehn

Satira “Terry” Beehn, 95, of Kountze, passed peacefully Saturday, November 11, 2023.  She was born on October 14, 1928, in Edwards County, Illinois, to Phena Crawford Garman and Alva L. Garman.

Terry, a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother, found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures, relishing moments spent fishing, engaging in spirited card games, nurturing plants, and tending to her garden.  Her green thumb extended to her driving, where she navigated life’s highways with a unique flair that both amused and impressed her passengers.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Kountze.  Terry’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Beehn and his wife, Cristi, and Chris A. Beehn, all of Kountze; grandchildren, Melissa Daniels; Miranda Hinshaw and her husband, Dan; Chris Beehn and his wife, Carlotta; Jeremy Beehn and his wife, Katie; Jacklyn Collette and her husband, Paul; Jennifer Hafford; Rachel McKnight and her husband, Jack; and Charles Nicholson; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over fifty-five years, Everett Beehn; son, Jeff Beehn; and brothers, Harold Garman, Leonard Garman, and Todd Garman.

A gathering of Terry’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 100 West Monroe Street, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Red’s Ladder Ministry, 13315 Blackgum Street, Beaumont, Texas 77713.
