Joseph “Joey” Daniel Mallet, 47, of Silsbee, died Sunday, November 19, 2023. He was born on May 13, 1976, in Port Arthur, to Lavada Jean Wilson Mallet and Joel Daniel Mallet.
Survivors include his wife, Mindi Mallet of Silsbee; his children, Savannah Blanchard of Silsbee and Jacob Mallet and Shelby Mallet, both of Port Arthur; his parents, Lavada Edwards and her husband, Bruce, of Roans Prairie and Joel “Danny” Mallet and his wife, Molly, of Port Arthur; sister, Kim Belding and her husband, Doug, of Memphis, Tennessee; and nephews, Cade Belding and Brady Belding.
A gathering of Mr. Mallet’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with his interment to follow at Daniels Cemetery, Kountze.

I worked with Joey for a little while at Transit Mix. I had no idea of his pain the last few years cancer sucks!! It’s never a good time to lose someone but especially this time of year my prayers to his family during the days ahead RIP.

Mallet Family, I am so, so sorry for the loss of Joey. He was always so sweet and funny! I have sooo many memories from Ozark Avenue, when all the cousins would visit at MeeMaw and PeePaw’s and we would all play together!! I am so very sorry to hear this. Joey was my son in law for many years. Joey ate many meals at my home and always thanked me and told me how much he enjoyed it. My heart is saddened by this. Prayers for Jake, Shelby, Savanna, Mindy and Joey’s family. Joey, I hope your dancing in the sky.
Nephew, so proud I was able to be your uncle. You were the life of the party, alway joking and laughing. It won’t be the same without you around. You fought a tough battle for many years. God has a better plan for you with no pain or suffering involved. Love you, fly high buddy, RIP.
