George LeJune

May 6, 1931 - December 8, 2023

George LeJune, 92, of Beaumont, died Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born on May 6, 1931, in China, Texas, to Helen Moreau and Jules LeJune.

George was a devoted husband, daddy, Paw Paw, brother and brother in Christ. He was a man of his word who lived with faith to do what was right in the eyes of God. The Lord’s prayer became his mission for everyone to know Jesus. His dedication to be the provider as a fence man for his family was unwavering. His simple pleasures included being at home with family and joyfully engaging with a dance on the kitchen floor with momma as Cajun music played in the background. His pleasure in recent years was found on the front porch. It was here he found peace praying the rosary as he continued to reach everyone with a bright smile and wave in the name of Jesus.

In the words of Isaiah 35:, we will forever hear dad firmly say to us:

“Strengthen the hands that are feeble,

make firm the knees that are weak,

Say to those whose hearts are frightened:

Be strong, fear not!”

We love you, BIG BIG!

I knew George from when he attended St. Jude for many years and the various activities we were both involved in. I live off Wescalder myself, and I used to often see him sitting on the porch at the house where he was living. Not sure if he recognized me or not but I blew the horn and waived just the same. I hadn’t seen him sitting out there for some time and I was wondering about him. George was a fine fella in my books, and The Good Lord has called a good man to come home.
