Marjorie Faye McDonald

February 8, 1939 - January 3, 2024

Marjorie Faye McDonald, 84, of Silsbee, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Silsbee.  She was born on February 8, 1939, in Village Mills, to Mary Lucille Tyler Butts and Allen Eugene Butts who, along with her sister, Gloria Gene, preceded her in death.

Marjorie was a 1956 graduate of Silsbee High School.  She married the love of her life, Frank E. McDonald on June 5, 1956, in Silsbee.  She was a member and the church organist for First Assembly of God in Silsbee for many years.  Marjorie was an accomplished piano player and also enjoyed traveling and camping.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Frank McDonald; daughter, Terry Turner and her husband, Joe; sons, Brian McDonald and his wife, Susie; Rusty McDonald and his wife, Janet; and Greg McDonald and his wife, Hayley, all of Silsbee; granddaughters, Jennifer Esneault and her husband, Brian, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Rebekah Albritton and her husband, George, of Silsbee; Megan Llanes and her husband, Homero, of Orange; Brandi Ureno and her husband, Trevor, of Milwaukee, Oregon; Lauryn Morrison and her husband, Matt, of Silsbee; and Kathryn Foster and her husband, Daniel, of Silsbee; grandsons, Timothy Turner of Silsbee and Phil McDonald and his wife, Cathy, of Tujunga, California; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Elliott Esneault of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Eva, Lillian, and Violet Albritton of Silsbee; Zeke Llanes of Orange, Jordan and Madelyn Morrison of Silsbee, and soon to arrive Elliana Foster of Silsbee; and brother, Tommy Butts of Buna and his family.

The family also wishes to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Mill Creek who took such loving care of Marjorie and assisted the family in these final days.

A gathering of Marjorie’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday January 6, 2023, at Resthaven Cemetery, Silsbee.
