Michael Lee “Mike” Bonvillion
Michael Lee “Mike” Bonvillion, 69, of Fannett, passed Monday, January 8, 2024, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on January 19, 1954, to Narris Mary Breaux Bonvillion and Walter Lee Bonvillion, in Crowley, Louisiana.
Mike graduated from French High in 1973 and began his career with Mobil Oil Refinery shortly thereafter. He retired in 2013 after nearly 40 years with the company.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. After his retirement, he spent the majority of his free time in the woods at his beloved B&B Hunting Club. Mike relished his time with his family and friends . He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, sibling, and friend. Someone you could always count on to lend a smile or helping hand. He had a large circle of friends who he also considered to be his family and treated them as such.
In 2007, Mike and Cynthia were married. He was the perfect husband to Cynthia; her knight in shining armor. They have been inseparable for the last 17 years and would always hold hands so they were never too far apart. Even in the face of his own tragedy, Mike remained Cynthia’s rock and always made sure she was taken care of.

It was such a joy and pleasure to hunt with Mike all those many years in Oakalla. A lifelong friendship was formed around that campfire. We had lots of laughs, solved most of the world’s problems, and maybe we consumed a little bit of alcohol. We had fun. We loved Mike and he will definitely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
