John Wesley Brantley, Jr.
John Wesley Brantley, Jr., 66, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on May 20, 1957, in Beaumont to Eleanor Louise Cooper and John Wesley Brantley, Sr. John was a retired machinist foreman for Metal Forms Incorporated. This loss was completely unexpected leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened. He will be missed in so many ways.
John was a deeply beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed spending time at his lake house, fishing, and gathering with friends and family. He had a love for animals especially his dog Lucky who was his co-pilot during many trips to the lake. He worked hard all his life and took pride in keeping his yard, house, and vehicles in immaculate condition. His passion and integrity to those he loved was unwavering. His infectious smile and laugh will live on forever.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Joy Guy and her husband, Rody, of Kountze; grandson, Blake Guy and his wife, Charlee, of Kountze; siblings, Harold “Craig” Brantley and Michael Brantley; beloved dog, Lucky; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and loves ones through the years.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Brantley’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Broussard’s, Beaumont, with his interment to follow at Haven of Rest, Beaumont.
