Raymond James Thompson

Raymond James Thompson, 87, of Nederland, died Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was born on August 11, 1936, in Port Arthur, to Annie Marie Nunez and Jack Daniel Thompson.

Raymond worked as an insulator for over 50 years and enjoyed every day of it. He worked with Asbestos Workers local #22. He also enjoyed his extensive collection of western and outlaw movies. Going on trips to San Antonio with his family is what he enjoyed most.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy; daughter, Jamie Myers, and her husband Eddie of Nederland; grandchildren, Ashley Hoover, Taylor Thompson and her fiancé, Luis Garcia, Teri Thompson and her wife Ashlee, Dalton and Brea Pulliam, Maddie Myers; great-grandchildren, Kaceton Thompson, and Taegan Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryan Thompson; and daughter, Rachel Thompson.

Mr. Thompson’s cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12^th Street, Nederland, Texas.
