Renita Gail McDonald Barlow

March 27, 1963 - March 7, 2024

Renita Gail McDonald Barlow, 60, of Orange, died Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born on March 27, 1963, in Orange, to Jeanette McDonald and Tommy Bradford, Sr.

Renita loved God and had tremendous faith. She was a fighter until the end. She fought a good fight and finished the course that was predestined from God. Renita accepted the Lord as her Savior. She loved to study the Bible and write down scriptures. She was a member of Sixth Street Community Church where she served under the leadership of Superintendent Anthony D. Thomas Sr. She loved her church family. Renita was a “people person”. She was a woman that loved to help others. She would give you her last.  Renita was known as the Family Anchor Woman as she kept everyone up with the news, events, and weather. She loved her family so much. She had a great passion for her great nieces and nephews. She loved those babies and always smiled in their presence. She had her only baby boy, Spirit (her dog), who she adopted from her sister. She loved Spirit and treated him like he was a human being. He slept and cuddled with her and ate with her. When she moved, Spirit moved, they were inseparable. She would constantly say, please take care of my baby Spirit. Renita will surely be missed.
