Frances Strother

Frances Strother, 91, of Nederland, died Friday, December 1, 2017. She was born on January 1, 1926, in Valleyview, Texas.

Frances was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland, where she was very active. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and “GG”.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Strother and his wife, Ruby, of Panama City, Florida abd Harold Strother of Houston; grandchildren, Wayne Strother and his wife, Monica; Brent Strother; Lorry Fach-Pedersen and her husband, Thomas; Roxann Byrd; and Paula Brown; great-grandchildren, Avery, Larry Wayne III, Dagmar, Magdalana, Baylor, Bree, and Rylee; and sister, Christine Ailvee of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Paul Strother; brothers, Joe Atteberry and Tommy Woods; and sister, Hassie George and Ruth Paulson.

A gathering of Mrs. Strother’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with her funeral service to follow at Broussard’s, at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Her entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
