Axel Maverick Flores
Axel Maverick Flores, 2, of Beaumont, died Monday, May 13, 2024. He was born on March 28, 2022, in Houston, to Sarah Suzanne Simiskey and Andrew Michael Flores.
Axel was also known as Bubby, Axe Man, Mr. Curls, Sweet Angel Baby, Turbo, and The Professor. He was his older brother’s whole world since the day they met. His smile was infectious. He had such a big personality and an ability to bring joy to anyone he came in contact with. Axel always had a smile, a laugh, and cuddles for the person holding him. To know Axel was truly a privilege.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Ace Marvel Flores; Gigi, Nancy Flores; Mimi, Tina Mazzola; Mumba, Stan Simiskey; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by Popí, Judge Lupe Flores; Granny, Marilyn Neathery; Pops, Jim Neathery; Grandpa, Patrick Simiskey; Grandma, Sandra Simiskey; and cousin, Raelynn Simiskey.
A gathering of Axel’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Broussard’s with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
