Dorothy “Dot” Fuselier

Dorothy (Touchette) Fuselier, 81, of Port Acres, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born July 04, 1942, in Port Arthur to Howard (Red) Touchette and Rosa Pelloat.

She was known to many as “Dot”. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Port Acres. She married the love of her life, John A Fuselier, on November 23, 1964. She was a proud Military wife and homemaker and together they raised two daughters. She was a proud Maw Maw to four granddaughters and Gigi to nine great grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Melissa Miller and husband, John, of Allen, Texas, and Anna Brown and husband, David, of Port Acres; granddaughters, Michelle Menard and husband, Raymond, of Westlake, Louisiana, Stepfanie Davis and husband, Kevin, of Aubrey, Texas, Kaylie Romero and husband, Brandon, of Orangefield, Texas, and Addison Holt and husband, Jake, of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee; sister, Gloria Tompkins of Zavalla, Texas and brother, Earl (T-boy) Touchette of Groves, Texas. Extended family include Chad Brown and family, Ashley Callen and family, John Brown and family, and Mark Brown and family. The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude, love and thanks to Bonnie Theriot, for being an amazing and compassionate caregiver to Dot.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, of 39 years; sister, Leni Aleman; and brother, Howard J. (Butch) Touchette, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. Fuselier’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
