Joseph Christopher “Chris” Bonura

Joseph Christopher “Chris” Bonura, 64, of Beaumont, died Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1960, in Beaumont, to Mary Frances Fee and Joseph Clarence Bonura.

Survivors include his siblings, Gregory Paul Bonura and his wife, Sheri, of Hemphill; Mary Anne Bonura Miller and her husband, Jason, of Vidor; and Michael Lawrence and his wife, Kim, of Vidor; nieces and nephews, Jamie Anne Green and her husband, David, of Round Rock; Jennifer Marie Bonura of Hamshire; Amanda Miller of Vidor; and Mason Miller of Vidor; many great-nieces and nephews and other family.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Peter Anthony Bonura.

A gathering of Mr. Bonura’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.

    though we didn’t know each other well. Everytime we saw each other at church we had enjoyable conversations. He had a very peaceful, calm and God loving spirit. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
