Frank Earl Saide

Frank Earl Saide, 73, of Port Neches, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He was born October 7, 1950, in Beaumont, to Irene Elizabeth Goode Saide and Jerry Paschal Saide.

Following his graduation from Port Neches-Groves High School, Frank embarked on a journey with the United States Air Force as a sergeant, serving in Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge, he dedicated 43 years of his life to Motiva Enterprises before retiring three years prior. An avid lover of the outdoors, he found solace in activities such as hunting, fishing, and relaxing on the beach or back porch throughout the years. Though possessing a quiet demeanor, Frank radiated profound humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment life offered. Revered as “one of the good ones,” his kindness and gentleness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His 35-year bond with his beloved wife, Cindy Saide, was unwavering, and he exemplified the ideals of a devoted husband, father, leader, and follower of God’s teachings.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Newkirk Saide; children, Jennifer Smith and husband, Steven; John Paul Saide and wife, Lauren; and Elizabeth Reed and husband, Kyle; grandchildren, Amelia Saide, Audrey Kirby, Mark Reed, Jacob Reilly, and Christopher Bowers; and siblings, Patrick Saide and wife, Kathy, and David Saide and wife, Lauri.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Janet Saide, Ronnie Saide; and son, Jeffrey Bowers.

A gathering of Mr. Saide’s family and friends will begin at 12:30 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
