Judy Lynn Abney
Judy Lynn Abney, 69, of Winnie, died peacefully at home on June 2, 2024. She was born to Agnes and L.A. Haltom on September 17, 1954, in Cleveland. She was employed with Morris and Dickson for 32 years. She was a great mom, granny, and great-grandmother. She was also a great friend to many that had the privilege to know her. She was always there to support all the kids in everything that they did.
She loved holidays, planting flowers, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her mother, Agnes, of Dolen, Texas; sister, Donna Winters, of Dolen; brother, Jimmy Haltom and his wife, Jackie, of Shepherd, Texas; daughters, Melissa Collins, and her husband, Gerald, Angela Lund, and her husband, Howie, Julie Murphy, all of Winnie; sons, Jared Abney, and his wife, Holly, of Lumberton, Cody Abney of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Anthony Lund; Coby and Slade Collins; Ashlyn Murphy; Christopher Thomas-Leday; Kylee and Madison Abney; Opal, Chev, and Solon Cavazos; great-grandchildren, Kylan Ceasar-Wilson; Jake, Ava, Peighton, Cooper, and Corbin Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father; loving husband, Charlie; daughter, Becky Murphy; and grandson, Kane Lund.
A gathering of Ms. Abney’s family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00a.m., Monday, June 10, 2024, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
