Jennie Louise Hathaway

Jennie Louise Hathaway, 81, of Buna, died Saturday, June 8, 2024.  She was born on August 16, 1942, in Gist, to Juanita Winkle Smith and Alvin Smith.

Survivors include her children, Eugene Mason of Buna; Tresta Hughes and her husband, Larry, of Mauriceville; and Charles Hathaway and his wife, Carolyn, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Chris Widener of Buna; and Kyle Hathaway and his wife, Grace, of Lumberton; great-grandchildren, Ariel, Izzy, and Emma Hathaway; sister, Beverly Fredieu and her husband, Eddie, of Spurger; and brother, Roland Smith of Silsbee.  She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Beronica Widener; sisters, Verlie May Smith, Lee Barbre, and Alice Dear; and brothers, John Alvin Smith and Arthur Smith.

A gathering of Jennie’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery, Buna.
