Richard Aaron Vega, 49, of Port Neches, died on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born on June 6, 1975, in Nederland, to Sue Ellen balance and Richard Lee Vega
He will be remembered by his family and friends by his love of fishing, boating, and working on his trucks and his love of racing. He had a great sense of humor and his love of Dr. Pepper’s. He will always be remembered as a hard worker and there to help if someone needed help.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Sims and her husband Danny, of Nederland; sister, April Vega of Austin; stepsisters, Diane Wade, and her husband, Terry, of Nederland; Angie Coats, and her fiancé, Billy Bennett, of Lumberton; Tracey McCoullough, and her husband, Nathan, of Mauriceville; grandmother, Dorsey Vega (MeMaw), of Lufkin; and numerous special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Vega; grandfather, William Aaron Ballance(PawPaw);grandmother, Geraldine Ballance (Granny);grandfather, Richard Vega(Poppa); step-grandmother, Maxine Borthwick; and step-grandfather, Gerald Borthwick.
His cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
