Charles Francis Grillot

Charles Francis Grillot, 69, of Lumberton, died after an extended illness on Saturday, June 22, 2024.  He was born on November 11, 1954, in Mortsel, Belgium, and adopted by Janice and Irwin Grillot.

Charles graduated from Kirby High School in Woodville, Texas and then Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, majoring in Auto Mechanics.  He held various jobs over the years and spent the last twenty-two years working for Lumberton Independent School District, retiring from the Transportation Department.

Survivors include his long-time partner, Terri Lyn Ashy of Lumberton; her grandson, George Nikolai Ashy; son, Cody Pate Grillot; granddaughter, Sadie Grace Grillot of Lufkin; daughter, Tracie Johnston and her husband, Will; grandchildren, Lila and Sofia Fitzgerald and Liam Johnston, all of Livingston; and sister, Missy Beach and her husband, Chris of Beaumont.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Janice Marie and Irwin Francis Grillot, Woodville, Texas, and originally from New Orleans, Louisiana.

His committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
