Caroline Gartner

April 25, 1932 - December 20, 2017

Caroline Gartner, 85, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on April 25, 1932, to Beatrice Clift Anderson and William Doyle Anderson, in McClean, Virginia.

Caroline graduated from Lamar University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in French. She was an avid tennis player and fan. Caroline loved to travel and take vacations including her Sunday drives to Louisiana. She enjoyed gardening in her backyard and painting.

Survivors include her husband, David H. Gartner; sons, Richard Gartner and his wife, Beverly, of Spring; William Gartner of Beaumont; Stephen Gartner of Curtis, Nebraska; and Kenneth Gartner and his wife, Tracy, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Christine Lee and her husband, Jeremiah; Melody Gartner; Georgia Bolser and her husband, Ian; Colleen Migl and her husband, David; Stephanie Humpherys and her husband, Darren; David Gartner; Julianna Gartner; and Grant Gartner; six-great-grandchildren, Fenix, Mckenna, Hunter, Caroline, Gabby, and Brayden.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
