Margaret Burdette

Margaret Ann Matthews Burdette, 73, of Silsbee, died Monday, January 8, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1944, in Silsbee, to Thelma Dockens Matthews and Herbert Matthews.

Survivors include her children, Wade Burdette of Silsbee; Wesley Burdette and his wife, Michelle, of Beaumont; and Callie LeJune and her husband, Troy; Leah Burdette; and Rachel Burdette McNamara, all of Silsbee; grandchildren, Terrie LeJune of Brazoria, Garrett LeJune and Arwyn McNamara, both of Silsbee, Aaron Finklea of Austin, and Jacob Finklea of Myrthle Beach, South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Kole LeJune of Silsbee, Lily Claire Finklea, and Xavier Dude; siblings, Sue Burt and her husband, James, of Buna; Joyce Beaver of Silsbee; Nell Work and her husband, Pat, of Kountze; and Tony Matthews and his wife, Carey, of Lumberton; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Burdette; and brother, Charlie Matthews.

A gathering of Mrs. Burdette’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
