Donald “Donny” Tunnell
Donald “Donny” E. Tunnell, 56, of Lumberton, died Friday, May 11, 2018. He was born on January 23, 1962, to Alice Joyce Biano and Harold Delayne Tunnell, in Sour Lake. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, BBQing, spending time with his grandchildren, and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a very selfless man. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and poppy.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Richardson Boone of Lumberton; son, Tony Tunnell and his wife, Fernanda, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Trip, Ally, and Noble; mother of his children, Robin Tunnell; sisters, Beverly Baker, Wanda Langham, and Sandy Kay Humble; brothers, Bobby Tunnell, Dale Tunnell, Harold Tunnell, Jr., and Larry Tunnell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Tanner; and sister, Darlene Shackleford.
A gathering of Mr. Tunnell’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Leatherwood Cemetery, Lumberton.
