Helen Scully Gilmore

Helen Scully Gilmore, 66, of Port Arthur, died Friday, July 6, 2018. She was born on January 1, 1952, in Port Arthur, to Mary Hebert Scully and George L. Scully, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Hebert Scully and George L. Scully, Sr; husband, Steven M. Gilmore; brother, George L. Scully, Jr, and sister Mary Loretta Scully Gaspard.

Helen attended Bishop Byrne High School. She was a Registered Nurse for many years. Her love for her family was endless.

Survivors include her sons, John Gilmore and his wife, Rachel, of Beaumont, TX; Corey Gilmore and his wife, Jacky, of Cuenca, Ecuador; grandchildren, Alex Gilmore, Alyssa Gilmore and Yadiel Otero; sisters, Lillian Scully Hernandez (spouse of John Hernandez) of Longview, TX and Patricia Scully George of Groves, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Scully DeRouen (spouse of George L. Scully, Jr), brother-in-law, Eugene Gaspard (spouse of Mary Loretta Gaspard) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A gathering of Mrs. Gilmore’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Broussard’s Mortuary, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, Texas. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Broussard’s Mortuary. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur, Texas.
