John Falcon
John Leewood “Lee” Falcon, 86, of Winnie, died at his home on Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born on July 18, 1932, in Duson, Louisiana, to Melina Trahan Falcon and Roy Jean-Batiste Falcon.
Lee served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service, he became a boilermaker, then the owner of Farm & Home Supply, until his retirement in 1994. He loved to cook and could make anything taste good! He also enjoyed spending time with family and hunting.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of forty-two years, Joyce Falcon; daughters, Mollie Simpson and her husband, Bubba; Polly Wester and her husband, Jeff; son, Lynn Falcon and his wife, Laurie; daughter, Lori Najar; son, Mitch Hankins and his wife, Karla; grandchildren, Sara Simpson, Colby Simpson, Ali Najar, Maddie Lizzi, Katie Hankins, and Mary Beth Osburn; and great-grandchildren Cordell Simpson and Penny Lizzi; sisters, Elgin “Sis” Seaux; Renola Hebert and her husband, Lester; Dorothy Bourque and her husband, Bradley; and Laura Camel; brothers, Leroy Falcon and his wife, Donna; and Andy Falcon and his wife, Betty; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lee is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr. Falcon’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 24, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, Texas 77665, with his interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 909 Highway 124, Winnie, Texas 77665.
